This delightful cottage is brimming with old-world charm and sleeps four guests across two bedrooms, set at the heart of a bustling village. Wooden floors and comfortable sofas set the scene, inviting you to relax with a brew or play games around the table. There’s a kitchen area complete with all the essentials for cooking up a storm, plus the AGA is a fitting addition to the country-cottage theme. The lower ground floor houses the handy utility room and a shower room, and you’ll find the bedrooms on the first floor. Completing the property is a lavish bathroom with a roll-top bath. A parking permit for one car is provided for the village car park.

The village itself boasts a charming pub and a chocolate factory as well as numerous shops and eateries to peruse, and the stunning Esthwaite Water is a mere 1.5 miles away. Lake Windermere, 5 miles away, is not to be missed, whether you are gliding across the water on a traditional steamer or strolling around the shoreline. For the real adventure seekers, Grizedale Forest promises exciting treetop activities and woodland walks, 3.5 miles away. For historians, Wray Castle is a marvellous place to visit complete with mountain views, 3 miles away.

Lovely old cottage in the centre of Hawkshead. Great central location to explore the lakes. Didnt need to travel in the car much as there are so many lovely walks from and around the village with great pubs and restaurants.

The cottage is great for a Lake District holiday. The equipment is really good, good quality pans and appliances. The basement area is fantastic for washing or dealing with wet/muddy clothes after a walk. The beds are very comfy, and separate bath and shower room with powerful shower are great for family of two adults and two children. A lovely quiet cottage, well laid out with some quirky sloping wooden floors. I was dubious about the facilities in the cellar as the only shower was down there but the underfloor heating made it very comfortable with the benefit of drying out wet boots and dogs! . We loved this cottage - it was homely, close to the village, clean, well equipped and loved the log fire. We had some amazing walks and meals in the village. Great location and the free parking pass was a lovely touch. However the pictures are deceiving and the shower room was very disappointing . Poorly lit( gloomy) with a broken shower door and mould around the tray. No proper furniture to hang your clothes and definitely a problem if 4 people were staying ... second room has nothing at all! Lovely olde worlde cottage in the heart of Hawkshead village. Very traditional Lakes cottage feel to it and like stepping back in time but very quaint. It was just the 2 of us and our Labradoodle dog Dougie. He made himself very much at home and the downstairs area was a good asset to use after a muddy walk to give him his wash. The neighbour next Read moredoor (who has been criticized on a previous review for the parking situation) could not have been more lovely and friendly. Great location to explore Hide

Jasmine Cottage was delightful. An old house with lots of character, but well modernised and comfortable. Particularly appreciated the basement utility room with underfloor heating - perfect for bikes and wet, muddy clothes after walks.
