Gather a group for a holiday in Cumbria. This apartment is on the ground floor of a beautiful, Gothic-style building, surrounded by a mountain range and near to the market town of Keswick. It’s flexible and would suit a small family or a group of friends. You’ll have lots of nature and incredible views all around.
The apartment is full of fun quirks and unexpected touches. You enter through the conservatory, which is a lovely space to relax on a sunny morning, perhaps with a book, and then continue through to an airy lounge/diner with gorgeous, high ceilings. The room has a classical feel, with a wood burner and a window seat overlooking the grounds. Next, there’s a galley-style kitchen with plenty of amenities, including a coffee machine for delicious drinks. The property has two bedrooms; one king-size and a flexible room. The king-size bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom for privacy and comfort, and the flexible room can either be made up with one super-king-size bed or twin beds, as you prefer. You’ll have a shared shower room with a WC, too. Head outside, where you’ll find extensive grounds which are shared between all the house’s residents. There’s lots to explore, places to sit and a stream for wildlife.
This area is a paradise for everyone who loves the outdoors. You’ll be 4.5 miles from Skiddaw, one of the more famous mountains, and there are plenty more to check out in the vicinity. If you’d like some fascinating ancient history, go to the Castlerigg Stone Circle (4 miles) which is thought to be around 5,000 years old. For supplies, head 2.5 miles to Keswick.
