Coniston is also home to the Coniston Boating Centre, where you can rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to explore the lake. If you're feeling adventurous, go rock climbing or abseiling at one of the local climbing areas, such as Dow Crag or Black Crag, both located within a 20-mile radius of Coniston.
