The main part of the cottage has three bright, refreshing bedrooms: a double, a twin and a bunk bedroom, along with a stylish family bathroom and a separate shower room. The cottage also offers a charming summer house where you will find the final bedroom – a cosy twin – as well as a handy wet room. Outside, the gardens stretch around the property for four acres, providing glorious views. There are some beautiful lawns, a covered veranda, a choice of benches and outdoor furniture, a swing, and plenty of tucked-away corners to explore.
The pretty village of Near Sawrey (0.5 miles) is home to Beatrix Potter’s house at Hill Top, or you can head past Esthwaite Water to the bustling village of Hawkshead (2 miles) which has some lovely places to eat and drink as well as the Beatrix Potter Gallery and Wordsworth’s Old Grammar School. Also nearby are Claife Viewing Station over Windermere, the Old Man of Coniston, Latterbarrow, Wray Castle and Moss Eccles Tarn (all within 7 miles).
