The apartment features a stylishly decorated and tastefully furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes a warm and refreshing living space. The lounge is perfect for snuggling up to chat about the day or watch a movie, and has plenty of seating, TV/DVD and a window seat with glorious views of Esthwaite Water. Broomriggs 7 is in a wonderful position overlooking Esthwaite water, the views change with the weather and are always amazing . The apartment was very comfortable and we enjoyed our week there. There are many good walks from the door, walking up from the house through the woods to Moss Eccles tarn, Claife Heights and down to Windermere is a great wRead morealk with wonderful views. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Wonderful view and opportunities to walk from the flat to various locations. Alec is a very helpful Warden and greets us with a friendly Welcome. Highly recommended for a peaceful break.

There are great views from both bedrooms and living room, and there's even an outside balcony. Lots of good walks from the doorstep and into Hawkshead and Sawrey. Suggest you bring your own torch and reflective clothing if walking at night on the B5285, although much of it has a separate footpath. The apartment is very well equipped and very cosy. Weve always love staying in flat 7. Its warm and comfortable with wonderful views over the lake. Being able to walk up the hill out of the property is our first outing. We had an amazing stay at Broomriggs. The apartment was perfect and the view was absolutely stunning. Location is great, a quick drive to the car ferry over to Bowness, easy to park up and walk rather than look for parking in Bowness. Also the lovely little village Hawkshead is down the road with some great pubs and places to eat. I would 100% book this cottage again. Yes, the decor could be updated but everything inside was very functional and youre in the Lake District so dont really spend that much time inside anyway. The grounds of this flat/cottage were amazing and we spent nearly every evening enjoying the forest around us. I loved that a Great Spotted Woodpecker kept Read morecoming to use the bird feeder every morning.
