Situated in Hawkshead village, you will find everything you need within easy reach. There are a couple of shops, pubs as well as some tourist attractions in the village. 1 mile south is Esthwaite Water, try out windsurfing, paddle boarding or kayaking at this lesser-visited spot. Largest lake in England, Lake Windermere is just 3 miles away, take the ferry across to Bowness-on-Windermere and visit The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. If you enjoy challenging hill climbs and hikes, visit The Old Man of Coniston (5 miles), considered one of the best fell walks in the Lake District.
