A delightful property sleeping four guests, this apartment is located in a country house with great scenic walks and views from the doorstep. Explore the Lake District’s mountains, fells and lakes from this enviable location with your family.

Situated over one floor, this accommodation is brimming with contemporary charm. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has fantastic views over the surrounding area, towards the lake and woodlands beyond. Binoculars for the guests have kindly been provided to help you admire the wildlife, too. Warm up in front of the electric fire as you watch a film, or rustle up a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen to eat together on the dining table. When you are ready for some sleep, choose from one of two en-suite bedrooms. Outside the property, you have access to the estate’s spectacular gardens to explore. The children can play on the climbing frame and the whole family can get competitive at the pitch and putt or table tennis.

The nearby village of Hawkshead (1.5 miles) has a cafe and shop, and the school that William Wordsworth attended. Enjoy water sports or shoreside walks around Esthwaite Water, or head 2.5 miles to Lake Windermere. Jump on the boats that head up and down the lake, and stop off at Ambleside (6.5 miles) for a great range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Visit Bowness-on-Windermere (11 miles) for the enchanting attraction, The World of Beatrix Potter. If you prefer to walk or hike, climb The Old Man of Coniston (6 miles) or England’s tallest mountain, Scafell Pike (10 miles).

We had a wonderful holiday thank you. The apartment was lovely and the facilities were incredible - golf, rowing, table tennis, amazing grounds. We had lots of great walks in the fells and enjoyed learning more about Beatrix Potter. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a great holiday at Broomriggs. The location is stunning with lots to do nearby and lovely walks. Alec the caretaker is really helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished. The rowing boats were fun too.

We had a very pleasant one week stay at Broomriggs. Great outdoor play area for the kids (4 and 8 years old), plenty to do around and nice apartment. The caretaker Alec was very helpful. Definitely would consider coming here again.

Broomriggs 2 was an absolutely delightful apartment, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with comfortable beds, armchair and settee. We would thoroughly recommend Broomriggs. Our stay was amazing, the playground and onsite activities are great for the kids, we loved taking out the boat and the views are just outstanding. Alec was great in showing us around and telling us all the local information we needed. The welcome pack was great with some local treats. We would highly recommend this apartment. The location is sensational. The views, the grounds, the local area are all absolutely stunning. Superb location with wonderful grounds to wander in. Extremely comfortable with everything needed for a holiday. So many places to visit and we had multiple viewings of the osprey during our week there. Highly recommended especially in May

The situation, ambiance and overall setting are superb. So much so that we have returned year after year for over twenty years. This year we were a little disappointed that the heating hadnt been turned on prior to our visit and there was no internet availability.
