We had a wonderful time at Challoner Cottage, it was lovely and homely very clean the beds were supper soft and great for the little things we had forgot. We were right in the middle of Cockermouth, walking distance of your local shops, great food and great ales. You're in the heart of the lake district as Keswick is about 20 minute drive (in car) for some lovely walks and views even if its from the lake side or at the top of the fells. We would recommend going and seeing everything for yourself.

Hi Sharon, many thanks for your lovely comments! Cockermouth is a real gem of a place, isn't it? (Actually, it really is, did you know that it's one of only 51 'Gem Towns' in the country? Well worth a Google!) So glad you had such a fantastic time, and hope to see you again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the end of September. Great location in centre of town, cottage small but perfectly formed and v thoughtfully decorated and equipped - a home from home and a bit of a Tardis. Lack of parking a shame, but wasn’t a big problem. Would go back there and would recommend Cockermouth - lots of nice places to eat and within easy reach of most of best bits of the Lakes.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. It's a fabulous cottage isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location for exploring the whole of North and West Cumbria. Cockermouth has a fantastic choice of restaurants, bars, cafes and independent shops - I hope you enjoyed some delicious food! Here's to the next holiday in the Lakes - hope to see you again very soon!
