Melissa Cottage has the added advantage of an eco wood pellet burning stove . The cottage is situated in the grounds of historical Irton Hall where both Oliver Cromwell and Henry VI have visited. The 1000 year old oak tree, known as The King's Oak, is said to be where Henry spent the night after being refused shelter at the Hall by Irton, a Yorkist. The 12 acres of Irton Hall mature parkland can be enjoyed by holidaymakers and make a really unique festive location.
