Are you staying in one of our wonderful cottages in Keswick?

This weekend, Christmas comes to Keswick with the grand switch on of the town’s lights on Friday 23rd November.

Christmas Lights in KeswickIt all starts with entertainment in Packhorse Court with singing from St Herbert’s KS2 School Choir at 4:45. Peter Rabbit will be turning on the Packhourse Court lights - including a "Tree of Light" at 5:15pm when there will be Christmas carols with J36 Brass. The fun continues in the main square with local band, Water’s Edge, playing on the main stage before the nurses from Mary Hewitson Cottage Hospital turn on the town lights at 7pm.

On Saturday Nov 24th at 1pm you can ‘Meet the Dog Trainer’ at Podgy Paws pet shop in Keswick. Podgy Paws are welcoming Jen from Clever Dogs Dog Training into the shop. No matter what behavioural problem you have with your pooch, come in and chat with a professional.

Once you’ve seen some beautiful lights and got advice on your dog, why not get yourself down to Threlkeld Village Hall where they are holding a wine and chocolate tasting event on Saturday Nov 23rd 7:30pm-9:30pm. Wine AND chocolate… what’s not to like!? Tickets are £10 for 8 wines and 10 chocolates. Tickets are available from Ye Olde Friars and Threlkeld Post Office.
