This morning I was over in Eskdale and Wasdale with Philip taking advantage of the great weather to get some new photos of some of our Lake District cottages.
We were getting some pictures of the stunning view from Bank Barn in Wasdale – the cottage is a perfect vantage point for enjoying Englands favourite view out over Wasdale to Scafell Pike and Great Gable.
We were also in Eskdale taking some external shots of a cottage called Bank Side, which will be coming onto our books soon. The cottage is currently being refurbished and watch this space as it will be available from June or July.
The cottage is in a privileged position with beautiful gardens, which are looking lovely – the garden is a haven for bird and animal life and the surprise tick of the day was spying this Slow Worm soaking up the sun on the garden wall.
It was a perfect day for taking photos – The trees have the beautiful translucent green colouring that they have when they come into bud, the bluebells are out and the early rhododendrons are starting to show.
