One of the most scenic rail routes in England, the Settle to Carlisle Railway stretches 72 miles between its two terminals and passes through 12 tunnels and across 20 viaducts. It takes in beautiful sites as it passes through the Eden Valley including the fells around Haweswater and Ullswater and the famous Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales.
