Church View was previously part of Chaucer Hotel in Keswick and offers stylish self-catering accommodation for up to four guests across two bedrooms. Children are welcome. The view from the ground floor is of St John's Church, across the road.
While the front door faces onto St John's Street, most guests will access the cottage via the back door from the private car park. The back door opens to a communal hallway, where guests should turn left, walk down the stairs and turn right to door no.1 opposite the lift. Here, guests will find themselves in the basement with the two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the same floor.
The double bedroom features a wardrobe, chest-of-drawers and an en suite bathroom, containing an over-bath shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. The twin bedroom has two single beds, a chest-of-drawers and wardrobe. There is a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC in the separate bathroom.
Climbing the stairs will take guests up to the ground floor, where one large open-plan kitchen, living and dining room is located. A stylish quality is obvious in these rooms, where natural materials and sophisticated muted tones dominate. The living room contains a leather two-seater sofa and two matching armchairs and a new internet enabled Smart TV . The kitchen contains an electric over and 4-ring electric hob, a microwave, tall fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and washer-dryer. The dining table seats four people and a window seat looks over the car park towards the peaks of the Skiddaw mountain range.
