At the back of the house is the great kitchen which leads onto a delightful breakfast room. On the first floor you'll find the the fabulous family bathroom and 2 of the 4 bedrooms, a twin and a king size with its own en-suite shower, and up on the first floor are the remaining 2 bedrooms, a double and a king size. The cottage also has an enclosed rear yard and 2 dogs are welcome too.

The charming town of Cockermouth has much to offer. Poetry fans will love a visit to Wordsworth House, the childhood home of William Wordsworth. Families will love the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park whilst adults can enjoy a tour and tasting at Jennings Brewery in the town centre. Take a scenic drive to Whinlatter Forest, there are a choice of 9 walking trails and 3 mountain bike trails, or you can even walk with an alpaca for something a bit different! There are a great selection of independent shops for a spot of retail therapy and plenty of different eateries to try out during your stay too.

Popular Keswick is just a 20 minute drive away, perfect for a day out! Known as the adventure capital of the North Lakes, why not sign up for an activity with one of the local adventure companies? You can have a go at ghyll scrambling and canyoning, or spend the afternoon raft building on Derwentwater. Head west for a peaceful walk around beautiful Loweswater or continue onwards to the coast; enjoy a seaside stroll along the pebble and sandy beach at Allonby whilst taking in the breathtaking views of the Solway Firth. both the coast and the Lake District are within easy reach, so a stay in Cockermouth means you're perfectly placed for exploring both.
