  • Turn left when you reach Colby Lane signposted for Colby (1.5 miles)
  • Drive for 150m along Colby Lane until you reach no.7 on your right-hand-side

From the North and South A1/Scotch Corner

  • At the Scotch Corner roundabout, take the exit west for the A66
  • Follow the A66 for about 35 miles
  • Exit on to the B6542 towards Appleby/Orton
  • Follow this road into Appleby and you will come to the Royal Oak Inn on your right
  • Keep following the road into Appleby until you pass the Co-op on your left-hand-side
  • Turn left before the zebra crossing and cross the stone bridge signposted Orton/Tebay B6260)
