General Description

38 Blencathra Street is a wonderful home-from-home, providing spacious accommodation for up to 9 people and 2 dogs. Located in a popular part of Keswick, you're a stone's throw from everything on offer in the town centre but there's still plenty of walks available straight from the front door - you really have got the best of both worlds here!

As soon as you step into 38 Blencathra Street you'll feel right at the home. The grand hallway leads into the spacious open plan living-dining room. A great sociable space, it's perfect for the whole party to get together: catch up over a hearty meal round the wooden dining table before moving seamlessly over to the comfy sofas. Relax with a good book in front of the gas fire or simply watch the world go by with a steaming mug of tea from the feature bay window. The kitchen can be found at the back of the house and it's well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday. There's an electric oven and induction hob, built-in eye level microwave, dishwasher and American style fridge-freezer. Up 2 steps and you'll come to a little breakfast area with a small table and 2 chairs - ideal for the early risers to breakfast in style. Beyond the breakfast area is a handy utility room. As well as a useful washing machine and tumble dryer, in here you'll also find an extra WC making 4 in total in this spacious cottage.

Head up the stairs and on the first floor you'll find the first of the sleeping accommodation. Wonderfully light, bright and spacious, the master bedroom is a real treat! With a king size wooden bed and its own TV, it's a haven for relaxation. Located at the front of the house you get fantastic views of the fells over the surrounding rooftops, you'll be inspired to get out and explore - after a bit of r&r of course! The first floor also benefits from a lovely twin bedroom; with accents of grey it's a calming space ideal for children and adults alike. The family bathroom can also be found on this floor. As well as the requisite WC and sink, there's a shower over the bath so all tastes are catered for. Next to the family bathroom is a further separate WC.

Onwards and upwards to the second floor and the remaining bedrooms. Up here there's a cosy double bedroom and a spacious family room, containing a king size bed and a single bed. On this floor is a useful shower room (also with WC and sink), perfect for invigorating tired muscles after a day on the fells.

At the rear of the cottage is an enclosed yard. Small but perfectly formed, it's the ideal spot for al fresco drinks and nibbles after a day exploring everything that's on offer right on your doorstep.
