Good location for walking inland and access to the coast at Ravenglass. Kitchen suffers from lack of natural light and furniture generally tired. Good shop directly opposite property and several pubs within easy drive.

Lovely little apartment, in the perfect location. Quiet and peaceful, but with plenty to do on your doorstep or within 10 mins in the car. Great shop literally round the corner and a lovely pub in walking distance. Pretty views from the windows and the garden, and plenty of space for two adults and a toddler. Not to mention excellent value for moneRead morey! Bed is only a double and not the comfiest but perfectly workable for a week (and were both tall!). We are already planning our next trip. Hide

Stayed at the Old Post Office a few times over the last 20 years and it is in a great location for exploring the lakes. Good selection of pubs serving traditional beer and food within walking distance. Property changed hands since our last visit and decor and furniture could do with upgrading. This did not detract from our holiday.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage was very cosy , especially with the open fire and in a great location for walking. I feel the cottage is lacking in a bit of love and care .that said I would recommend to a friend

We had a lovely week in The Old Post Office. Lots of walks on our doorstep and a village shop open 7 days a week just 10 steps away. The owner was helpful and quick to respond to queries. The lockbox was a godsend as we were very late arriving at the cottage.
