LOW MILLGILLHEAD
Recently used for the filming of ‘Miss
Potter’, a film about Beatrix
Potter starring Renee Zellweger, Low Millgillhead is a beautiful
Georgian house in the small village of Lamplugh.

The back garden at Millgillhead
Lamplugh is the perfect starting place to explore
the fells, rivers, lakes and tarns of this beautiful part of the
Lake District. There are a variety of walks right from the front
door, or Loweswater Lake is just four miles away, with Buttermere
and Crummock just a mile or two beyond.

Loweswater
In the opposite direction is Ennerdale Lake with its
forest walks and mountain biking.

The village pub (the Lamplugh Tip) is a mile and a
half away. For shops, Cockermouth (just 7 miles away) has a Sainsbury's
as well as a wide variety of smaller independent shops, pubs and
cafes. The Kirkstile
Inn at Loweswater is renowned throughout the Lakes for the quality
of its food and ales.
