Situated between Skiddaw and Derwentwater, the idyllic village of Keswick is a history enthusiast's dream, famous for its historic theatre and cinema and provides a playground of activities for outdoor explorers, boasting some stunning walks in the fells; Borrowdale (8 miles), at the far end of the lake, is particularly popular with climbers. Head to Derwentwater Marina (2.5 miles), to stroll along the lakeshore, rent a boat, or jump aboard a cruise to take in the breathtaking scenery of the fells and woodlands. Anyone looking for an adrenaline rush can conquer Whinlatter Forest's riding trails 5 miles away or hike Wainwrights Skiddaw (5 miles), Catbells (4 miles) and Latrigg (1.5 miles).

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable cottage located just minutes walk from all the restaurants, pubs, bars and shops in Keswick, yet so quiet! We can't wait to go back.

We loved our week in Brock Cottage. It is a perfect cottage and great as a centre from which to explore the Lakes. It has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the microwave and coffee machine. The kitchen and bathroom are extremely stylish and the shower is a delight to use! In addition its a 10 minute walk to Read moreall the pubs, restaurants and shops, plus there are some lovely walks straight from the house. We definitely want to book again! Hide

We had a really lovely stay at Brock Cottage and the cupcakes upon arrival were a lovely touch. The cottage was clean, warm and extremely well equipped, absolutely loved the kitchen. Beds were really comfortable too and rooms were spacious. The cottage delivers everything as promised - comfortable, warm as toast (we were there in late November), well equipped, spotlessly clean. Ideally situated for town, or wandering into the hills. Marvellous.

A beautifully warm, snug and welcoming cottage. Furnished to the highest standards with super comfy beds. We arrived to home made chocolate and caramel cupcakes which were delicious. Bars and restaurants in Keswick were very busy the weekend of our visit but the kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal. Would definitely recommend to anyone lookRead moreing to say in the area. Incredible transformation of a 2 up 2 down Victorian Terrace in a fairly central part of Keswick . The new flooring is fantastic . Looks like wood but is actually tiles. The kitchen fittings are all brand new and fit in beautifully. The upstairs beds are comfy and the brass frames fit into the Victorian style very well.
