The romantic bolthole is the perfect place to switch off and recharge, surrounded by nature and far-reaching mountain views. A multitude of walking trails branch away from the pod, leading you into the village of Coniston (0.5 miles) or high above the water to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston (1 mile). After a long walk, return to your cosy pod to snuggle in front of a film or sip a glass of wine on the veranda whilst taking in your peaceful surroundings.
The stylish lodge has a striking interior, with timber cladding creating an almost nautical feel once inside. The open-plan space has been carefully configured to include comfortable seating, a cute dining area, Smart TV, and a bespoke kitchen. To the rear of the pod, and partly screened off, is an inviting double bed. Completing the property is a sleek shower room. Outside, there is a small veranda and an enclosed gravel area with a picnic bench for al fresco dining. This is the perfect place to sit and relax at the end of a busy day, watching the local wildlife and soaking up the tranquillity.
Follow the meadow path into Coniston, where you’ll find a charming village with quirky shops and antique stores. The village also has an excellent range of cafes, restaurants, and cosy pubs, many of which boast stunning views of Coniston Water. You’ll find some gorgeous walks around the lake, or you can enjoy the views from the water on either the Coniston Launch or Steam Yacht Gondola. Alternatively, head to the boating centre to hire a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. A visit to the picturesque village of Hawkshead (4.5 miles) is a must for the itinerary. Wander amongst its cobbled streets, popping into William Wordsworth’s former school or the Beatrix Potter Gallery.
