Spread over two storeys, this gorgeous stone cottage has plenty of charm and character with high ceilings, Victorian panelling, and ornate fireplaces, combined with bespoke soft furnishings. Relax in the light and airy, dual-aspect lounge to watch a film or read a book, warming your toes by the wood burner on chilly evenings. Rustle up family favourites on the range-style oven in the smart, modern kitchen, then gather around the table to dine together while discussing your plans for the following day. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms spread over the ground and first floors, there’s ample room for everybody to get a revitalising night’s sleep, while the utility room offers a useful space to store coats, boots, and buggies. Enjoyed a winter weekend with friends here in this beautiful house. We made ourselves very cosy in the living room, used the log burner and had everything we needed in the kitchen to keep ourselves well fed. We liked the house decor and appreciated the gowns and slippers provided. We didnt spend too long outdoors due to the cold weather but got lucRead moreky with a beautiful view of the stars in the sky on both evenings. We had the most wonderful week at Fox Hollow. The cottage is unbelievably comfortable and warm with everything we could need to make our stay perfect. The bedrooms were big and comfortable, bathrooms clean and warm with the added luxury of bathrobes! Although late October, the kids loved the garden. Fantastic location quiet and only minutes away from restaurants or lake. Lovely gardens. Bathrooms excellent. Kitchen fully equipped.

Our family had a lovely stay at Fox Hollow. The house is beautifully furnished and in a great location to access Ullswater and some beautiful walks. Unfortunately, due to the weather we werent able to enjoy the wonderful garden but the cosy wood burner was very welcome. We would definitely like to come back again in the future for a longer holiday!

Ideal location. Out of the way. Good for Ullswater and the north lakes. Very comfortable and appointed to a high standard throughout. Really enjoyed our stay. A marker of a good cottage is being sad to leave and I certainly felt that way. We had three young kids. Suitable for them too. We would certainly be happy to return.
