This wonderful property in the hamlet of Stubble Green on the Cumbrian coast is perfect for a family or friends and up to two dogs looking for an active holiday exploring beaches and walks in the Lake District. Drigg Dunes and beach, less than 2 miles away, is dog friendly and has breathtaking views towards the Isle of Man and beyond.

This welcoming home is bright and spacious, and the muted tones and pops of colour throughout put you at ease as soon as you step inside. The lounge is the heart of the house, with armchairs and a sofa surrounding a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV, perfect for a relaxing night in. The fully equipped kitchen is a social space that encourages family and friends to create memorable meals together. The dining area in the sunny conservatory is bathed in natural light, which is ideal for reading. There's also a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs, in addition to the bathroom, are four bedrooms: a super-king-size overlooking the garden, a king-size with views towards Wasdale, a double and a single. Bi-folding doors open onto the large, enclosed, lawned garden, perfect for children and dogs to run around. A sandstone patio with furniture and a BBQ make this the ideal spot for al fresco dining on fine days.

Scafell Pike (13 miles) is nearby for keen walkers, so pack your walking boots or escape to peaceful Ennerdale (18 miles) for woodland walks and nearby access to a cycle path. Enjoy a great family day out at Muncaster Castle or on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, just 4 miles away with plenty to do for all ages or cycle the popular Hadrian's Cycle Way, which is just outside your front door.

Lovely place. Just be aware it's too far to walk to the beach. You'll need to drive but the beach is good when you get there.

Great house, as described on the web-site. Owners very helpful and responsive with clear instructions to get there and get in. Impeccably clean. Everything we needed in terms of bedding, towels, furniture, plates, glasses etc was there and of quality. I dropped one star on the location only because there is little close by in terms of decent supermRead morearket and good places to eat. But compensating that is it is calm, both in the house and on the walks in this part of the Lakes. I would book again Hide

Well equipped spacious cottage. Very comfortable, with a dog proof garden. Best enjoyed if you have access to a car as it is situated on the edge of the Lake District, with places of interest at least an hours drive away. Some lovely beaches & eateries close by.

Really good property, plenty of room, with all the facilities needed. Spotlessly clean, and maintained to an excellent standard. Garden is a beautiful, restful haven, with good furniture and only the sound of the birds. We had fabulous weather too. A very relaxing holiday. Its only half a mile to the sea as the crow flies, but about a mile by road.

A really clean, comfortable, spacious & well equipped house. A good base for exploring, although have to agree with Wainwrights description of Scarfell! Muncaster Castle, beaches and Ravenglass railway great for all ages
