Situated in a quiet residential area a short walk from Cockermouth town centre, with local amenities on your doorstep. A great retreat for couples or a family looking to explore the Lakes.

Gather a group for a family holiday in Cockermouth. This spacious property would make a great place for an intergenerational trip. You’ll be staying in an area famous for its beauty with mountains in one direction and the sea in the other. There are plenty of activities to suit all tastes, so pack your swimming costume and walking boots and get ready for endless possibilities.

Walk into the property, down the hall and find a lovely lounge. In the winter months, use the coal-effect gas fire to make everything cosy, and in the summer stretch out on the window seat and admire the view, enjoy a drink or read your book. Continue through to a spacious kitchen/diner which overlooks the garden and can easily accommodate everyone for a group meal. The last place on the ground floor is the utility room. Head upstairs, where you’ll see two double bedrooms, bothsimply decorated and comfortable. There’s also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. This cottage has an enclosed garden with a high fence, so your children can roam around. There’s a lawn for games, shrubs, seating and dining spots.

You’ll be in Cockermouth, a bustling market town with lots of  pubs where you can get a hearty meal if you don’t fancy cooking. If you’d like a day at the beach, try Harrington Beach, 11.5 miles away, or Allonby Beach, 10.5 miles away, both of which welcome canines. Alternatively, there are plenty of mountains to check out, so why not visit Skiddaw, 13 miles away?

The location was great, right on the edge of Cockermouth which means you have mountain views within minutes. Close to all the major lakes in the area (max 30min drive) and some really great fell walks. Was able to squeeze in a couple sunrise trips quite easily. A really homely place - spacious, well equipped but still plenty of space to store your own supplies etc. Two fridges and a freezer. We've stayed there before and were very happy to return. Easy walk into Cockermouth, nice garden and easy parking. Quiet area and dog friendly which is a real plus.

The house was perfect. It was lovely and clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved the sunny garden. We appreciated the goodies left for us on arrival and nice that the host checked in with us by texting to make sure we were happy. Perfect location to explore the north lakes.

Loved the cottage, very well equipped and clean, nice location for walking only 15 mins into the town centre. Nice garden to the rear of the property, great for dogs, and lovely seating areas to enjoy a wine or two.

Really lovely place. Initially reserved on account of the enclosed garden for the dogs and the close proximity to the town, however the house was far nicer than I had expected, the photos do not do it justice! They let us have an early check in too which was really appreciated!

Jenny was very helpful and easy to contact. We had a welcome pack, including treats for the dog when we arrived. The location is very good for walks into town, or around the area and lovely parks. The enclosed garden for the dog was great, with nice seating areas, though too cool / wet whilst we were there.

Lots of space in the house, with enclosed garden that our westie loved. I enjoyed a lovely stay at the property. It felt like a real home from home. The house was very comfortable, and I had some lovely weather so was able to enjoy the gorgeous, enclosed garden. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town centre. The treats left for me and my dog were a lovely touch, and most welcome after a long drive!
