Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms await – one of which has an en-suite shower room – along with a sleek shared shower room. The remaining double bedroom is set in the eaves on the second floor. Outside, an enclosed patio garden awaits, with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. There’s also a private Garden Spa room with a hydro massage tub, wood burner and Smart TV – the perfect place to chill out after a day of exploring.

Cartmel is a real haven for foodies, with a great range of fine-dining restaurants and traditional inns showcasing local produce. Just 2 miles away is the Edwardian seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands, with its long promenade with panoramic views and pretty ornamental gardens.
