Bowderbeck Cottage is situated in a stunning position overlooking the beautiful Buttermere Valley. Just a short stroll from the cottage are two pubs, a café, ice cream parlour and of course, the unrivalled mountain scenery, and beautiful lake.
The shingled shores of Buttermere are no more than a ten minute walk away, and the 4 mile circuit around the lake is delightful walk with lots of wildlife and beautiful views, so much so that it regularly features in national newspapers 'top ten walks in the Lake District'. The two pubs in the village, the Bridge Inn and the Fish Hotel, both serve food and local ale. They benefit from beer gardens with the finest outlook for miles!
Bowderbeck can sleep 7/8 people in four bedrooms and benefits from a beautiful decking area with stunning views down to the Lake.
A quiet bridleway leads directly from the cottage down to the lakeshore. Buttermere is surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery including the soaring High Stile range on the opposite side of the lake.
