We had the most glorious weather so our stay in the cottage was great. The garden and the view were amazing and we made good use of it. The bed in the main bedroom was lovely and comfortable, especially after a day on the fells. The bedroom in the attic was lacking in any hanging space, so a few hooks in the beams to put hangers on would be useful. The bathroom and toilet needed waste bins, otherwise the cottage was very well equipped. The Denby crockery was lovely and altogether the cottage was cosy and quirky. We would book this cottage again.

Hi Vilma, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your break at Yewbarrow cottage. It's a cosy little gem isn't it? And what a location! The views are stunning. I hope you enjoyed some great walks. The fabulous weather was the icing on the cake.
Thanks for your feedback about hanging space in the attic bedroom and waste bins in the bathroom and toilet, I've passed it on to the owners, thank you.
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Lovely cottage. However we wouldnt stay again as the garden isnt enclosed from the back door. We couldnt just let the dog out for a pee, incase she made her way to the busy road.

Hi Lois, I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Yewbarrow Cottage. The views are stunning aren't they? I'd be happy to recommend some cottages with enclosed gardens when you're looking for your next break, just get in touch.

We loved the cottage/garden.
The position was a bit far to travel to Windermere, Keswick etc with a 2 year old and a dog.
After driving through Hardnott Pass, we had a two hour journey to get back.
Chose the position as was hoping to leave the youngers on the beach!
The pub near by was excellent.
Local walks excellent.
Perhaps the only thing I would do in the cottage, is put some "pads" on the bottom of the kitchen chair legs.

Hi Mandy, thank you for your review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Yewbarrow Cottage. Well done for tackling Hardknott Pass, it's not for the faint hearted! It's always a bonus having a good pub nearby isn't it? It sounds like you enjoyed some great walks while you were there.
I've passed your suggestion for some pads on the bottom of the kitchen chair legs onto the owner, thank you.
