The king size room has its own en-suite shower room and there’s also a fantastic family bathroom. Yew Trees also has private off-road parking for 1 car and a lovely patio garden, both a real bonus so close to the centre of Windermere.
Located a short, pleasant walk from bustling Windermere Village and Bowness, you really have so much on your doorstep at Yew Trees. Leave the car where it is and head out on foot to explore. Indulge in some retail therapy, or treat yourselves to an evening out with cocktails and a delicious meal in one of local bars and restaurants. Lake Windermere is just over a mile's walk away; pack a picnic and enjoy a stroll along the lake shore, hire a boat, or hitch a ride on the launch for a majestic cruise round the lake. Neighbouring Bowness is a 10 minute walk away and offers an array of shops and eateries, as well as museums and lots of great walking opportunities. The cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery and the golf course is also a short walk away.
Why not catch the ferry across the water to Hawkshead, another charming Lakeland village, where you can visit the former home of Beatrix Potter at Hilltop, before stocking up on the village's delicious relish? There are plenty of fantastic walks on offer nearby. Take in the stunning vistas from Claife Viewing Station before following the path along the western shore of the lake. Spend a day exploring the magnificent Langdale Valley? With its rugged mountains and peaceful tarns, it's a must for any avid fell walker.
