The cottage for us was perfectly situated, as I am a photographer and getting down to both Buttermere Lake and Crummock Water was very close for sunrise and Sunset.
The cottage itself was very cosy and close to the cafe and The Bridge Inn for a coffee lunch or dinner.
My only negative was that the bathroom was very cold, as it only had one towel rail for heating but it was November and in summer would not be so bad.
The amenities in the cottage were all there, a well thought out kitchen, with fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle and dishwasher, and a very comfy bed.

Hello David, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a super cosy cottage isn't it? You chose an absolute stunning location for photography - I bet you have some amazing photos! I have noted your feedback regarding the bathroom and I will look into this further. I hope you will plan a return visit to the Lakes very soon.

This is the place to get away from it all. A place to think and meditate. To even start writing a book. To get your life and mind together. To enrich your whole being and life. If you don't come here, you will miss out on all the above.

Had a fantastic week in Buttermere, one of our favourite places to stay to walk and Yew Tree cottage fitted the bill.
Great location, nicely designed and very cosy so even when the weather was inclement we could look out of the windows at the changing views of the fells or watch the wildlife, pleased to see a red squirrel in the garden. Hope to return again soon. Thank you.
