Durham GB Just me (and why
very nice cottage - great place to stay esp in the winter when the village is peaceful. No wi-fi but cafe next door will happily let you use theirs and they sell super cake as well - Bonus... I walked every day it was just grand. My only small niggle was how cold the bathroom was - Brrrr (but hey that's hardly a big deal surrounded by such beauty from every window)

The cottage for us was perfectly situated, as I am a photographer and getting down to both Buttermere Lake and Crummock Water was very close for sunrise and Sunset.
The cottage itself was very cosy and close to the cafe and The Bridge Inn for a coffee lunch or dinner.
My only negative was that the bathroom was very cold, as it only had one towel rail for heating but it was November and in summer would not be so bad.
The amenities in the cottage were all there, a well thought out kitchen, with fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle and dishwasher, and a very comfy bed.

Hello David, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's a super cosy cottage isn't it? You chose an absolute stunning location for photography - I bet you have some amazing photos! I have noted your feedback regarding the bathroom and I will look into this further. I hope you will plan a return visit to the Lakes very soon.

This is the place to get away from it all. A place to think and meditate. To even start writing a book. To get your life and mind together. To enrich your whole being and life. If you don't come here, you will miss out on all the above.
