We had a lovely week at Yattus. An interesting old cottage with beams, low doorways, wonky stairs and character. Comfortable beds and decent shower pressure. We stayed during a heatwave and it's thick stone walls kept it pleasant & cool with the windows open. If you want character and don't have any mobility issues this is a great place to stay. A bit remote to reach along narrow & steep fell roads but in a lovely part of the Lakes.

Great old world character. Spacious rooms and pleasant garden. Could do with a little more lighting. The Eskdale valley is one of the more peaceful areas of the lake district and we liked the accessibility to the many walks.

Hello Henry, It's the perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries, isn't it? Thank you for your feedback regarding the lighting, I will look into this. Here's to getting away from it all more often!

This is a beautiful old cottage steeped in history. It would have been the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in pre Covid era but was so un-covid safe due to the excessive clutter and all cupboards being full of additional clutter etc etc, which pre Covid would have been fascinating, but not presently as we are all despite having had both vaccines, left us feeling uneasy.
