General Description

A quirky and cosy retreat for 4, Wythop Mill Cottage is sure to delight.

Head inside and straight into the useful utility area, which houses the washing machine should you wish to make use of that during your stay. Leave boots and coats here before exploring further.

Down 3 steps (there is a bannister on one side) from the utility area is the kitchen-diner, a wonderfully welcoming space. The country kitchen is well equipped with an electric range-style oven, microwave, fridge and feature Butler's sink. The round wooden dining table makes for convivial mealtimes whilst catching up on the day's events.

Behind an original latch door you'll find the delightful living room. The inviting sofa and armchairs are positioned around the wood burning stove, perfect for cosy evenings in in front of the fire. An atmospheric room that's full of charm and character, ideal for some real R&R. The snug at the rear of the cottage is another welcoming room with feature wooden beams. Both the living room and the snug have a TV so there'll be no need to fight over the remote control!

Upstairs on the first floor are the 2 lovely double bedrooms. The first bedroom is bright and airy thanks to its dual aspect windows; it has a pretty, metal-framed double bed and a quirky wicker chair, a lovely spot to catch up with a good book. This room also has an antique chest of drawers for storage. The second bedroom is just as charming as the first. A mezzanine space, with a gallery over the kitchen, in here you'll find an antique wooden double bed and a traditional dressing table with handy drawers, stool and wall-mounted mirror. This bedroom is full of character features, from the exposed stone work around the original window to the beautiful wooden beams.

Also on the first floor is the pretty family bathroom. With a WC, washbasin and bath with electric shower over all tastes are catered for, whether you prefer a relaxing soak in the tub or a reinvigorating shower after a day out on the fells.

Outside, Wythop Mill Cottage has a delightful garden to the side and rear. As the name suggests, Wythop Mill Beck runs behind the garden making it a lovely, relaxing spot to relax whilst listening to the water flowing by. A bistro-style table and chairs are also provided, ideal for a peaceful morning cuppa or a refreshing drink in the evening.

There is also parking for 1 car in the space next to the cottage.
