General Description

The Woolpack Lodge is a great value option for a family or small group to make the most of this stunning area. Nestled near to the head of the magical Eskdale valley and situated next to a popular rural pub it benefits from stunning mountain views while also having easy access to the pub's amenities. It has comfortable timber lodge accommodation for up to seven people with well thought-through storage space and welcomes up to 2 dogs. Not only this but guests can arrange to hire a hot tub from which you can spend your evenings looking at the stars.

On arrival at the cabin guests enter via a wooden walkway. There is an entrance hall with coat hooks and plenty of cupboard space for all the outdoor clobber you're sure to need for your stay. This opens up into the living space where you'll find two large comfy sofas arranged around a fireplace with an electric stove-style fire. There's a TV with Freeview along with a DVD player for entertainment, alternatively you can enjoy the view into the woodland at the rear which sees wild visitors such as red squirrels to deer. Within this light open-plan room is also a large dining table for eight benefitting from the glorious views to Harter Fell through the french doors. It's the perfect spot to have your breakfast and be inspired to get out and about on the fells. The kitchen is well planned to make for sociable food prep with a counter looking through to the rest of the room and a further two-seater sofa. It's well equipped with a built-in fan oven, ceramic hobs, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer as well as all the crockery and cookware you'll need for your stay. There's also a handy Nespresso coffee machine, perfect for an indulgent morning cuppa on the decking (don't forget to bring your coffee pods along).

Moving through to the other half of the lodge where the bedrooms and bathrooms are found. All of the bedrooms are cosy and wood clad with a built-in wardrobe and bedside shelves. The master double room has a "Jack and Jill" door to the family bathroom should you require it to be an en-suite. There is a further double, a twin and a single providing flexible accommodation. The family bathroom has an over-bath mixer shower while the separate shower room has a mixer shower in a square enclosure.

Outside there is a private, two-level decking area with uninterrupted views of the upper end of the magnificent Eskdale Valley. You can indulge in a sunny morning cuppa on the deck or arrange with the owners in advance to hire a hot tub and soak those well-used fell walking muscles amidst glorious scenery.
