Wood Cottage is a charming wooden bungalow style cottage in the quiet village of Drigg. Sleeping 3 people in 2 bedrooms. A comfortable sitting / dining room has patio doors opening to the beautiful cottage garden, which is planted with a variety of flowers and plants creating a tranquil environment for you to sit in and enjoy.
Drigg is a small village on the edge of the Lake District, ideal for those who are ticking Wainwright Western Fells off their 'to do list'. Eskdale, Wasdale, Mitredale and Ennerdale are all within 30 minutes drive. After a day on the fells you can enjoy the evening on the coast just 1.25 miles away watching the sunsets on Drigg Beach, walking the sand dunes, admiring the wild flowers, birds and wonderful views.
For non-walkers there is still lots to see in the area. As well as a mainline train station with coastal views just 10 minutes walk from the cottages. Trains run north to Carlisle and south to Barrow. The station buildings also have a well established craft & gift shop, serving delicious coffee and cakes
