A gem of a cottage in a beautiful area with wildlife on your doorstep and wonderful scenery. The walks from the cottage are magnificent and varied.

The cottage owners are welcoming and thoughtful and the cottage itself had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, especially the outdoor seating areas listening to the birds. Our dog loved relaxing outside and meeting the little ponies that paid us a visit every day.

A visit to The Woolpack Inn for their amazing pizzas is recommended. All in all a very relaxing stay, we will definitely return 

Great walking from your doorstep. The 3 local pubs serve brilliant food. The cottage was perfect with Shetland ponies in the back garden hills that visited each day. The cottage had everything you need including a boot room. It's the second time we've been and won't be our last. The owners are so nice and cater to your needs. Very covid 19 secure.

A very pleasant stay in Eskdale.I am always hesitant in recommending accommodation as other people's needs and preferences are likely to be different to mine.Local amenities I have marked as 5 although I was aware of them being limited when booking. Value for money is a little low as I consider the accommodation expensive although it seems to be the trend in the popular Lake District. Inside the cottage I consider there is a safety issue with no handrails on the stairs.

Hi Graham, thank you for taking the time to leave your comments, I really do appreciate it and will flag the stairs concern with the owners. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Eskdale, it really is a beautiful valley, isn't it?
