For Expensive cost per week u should only accept interior standards similar to a quality 4/5 str Hotel
All furnishings & fittings were social housing standards only.

Hello Bill, thank you for your review of Windermere following your stay there. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the fixtures and furnishings at the property. The photos on our website are recent and I do feel they represent the cottage honestly. I will be liaising with the owner with your feedback, so that they are able to take this on board. This is a lovely cottage in an amazing spot . We had a great time warm and cozy with very good facilities.
Just a couple of small recommendations a roll of silver foil ,a few more toilet rolls ,a few more bin bags and a few more dish washer tabs would have saved a shopping trip ! We used the diary milk man for things which was great .
We had a great time and will be using your cottages again

Really nice cottage well equipped and clean. On site/complex it had easy access to a large grassed area that was great for everyone’s dogs and children. However due to the wonderful large windows in the cottage spanning the whole of the lounge and sleeping rooms it was very overlooked by everyone going into the grassed area with their dogs and children at various times of the day. We did sit out on the odd occasion however we felt like “goldfish “ due to the location of the seating area adjacent to the property and the traffic of people,children and dogs.
The entrance to the property was untidy and due to the swallows nesting in the rafters there was a large area covered in bird droppings that appeared to had not been removed for severely weeks.
Although we are aware it is high session we felt the price of the week stay was over priced and did not meet up with our expectations, hence this reflected in our feedback review.
However we are also aware that this property is new to Sally’s cottages and hope the above issue can be address.

The website offers as much information as possible to visitors, including pictures, so that people can make an informed decision about whether the cottage is right for them. The team in the office are also on hand to answer any questions at all that someone may have before they go ahead with a booking. I will let the owner know that you feel some privacy may improve the seating area and windows so that we can see if this can be achieved without affecting the stunning views. Thank you for letting me know about the nesting birds too. Whilst we aren't able to move the nest, I will certainly make sure that this is cleaned as often as is needed while the birds are nesting.
