Well, what a find. Beautiful cottage, spectacular scenery on the doorstep (Ullswater lake and not to mention the wildlife, red squirrels, birds, wild horses and donkeys) and amazing friendly hosts in Dave and Sue.

Everything you could want for a break away from everything and dog friendly too (huge fells and a paddock to exercise your dog too)

Highly recommended!

Hello Julie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's a lovely place for a relaxing break, isn't it? The location is hard to beat! The owners' are fabulous and always endeavour to ensure guests have a truly memorable experience. Sounds like your dog had a pawsome time too - fantastic! Come back any time, you can be sure of a very warm welcome.

We have stayed at Winder Ghyll many times and have never been disappointed it is such a lovely place. The setting is perfect and the new owners Sue and Dave do everything in their power to make your holiday stress free. The cottage is so cosy, even when the weather outside is cold and damp you will always be nice and warm inside. We cant wait to go back.
