General Description

Winder Ghyll is a delightful ground floor cottage for four with sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding countryside to the Pennines and Howgills in the distance. Sleeping up to four people in two comfortable bedrooms, decorated with a light fresh palette and with all the accommodation arranged on one level it makes the ideal holiday cottage for those with limited mobility.

On arrival at the property an entrance hallway leads to the lovely open plan living space. There are two comfy leather sofas arranged around a cast iron gas fired stove and TV with DVD player for entertainment. Speaking of entertainment, the living space has French doors opening onto the patio which benefits from regular visits from a fascinating array of birdlife and even a wonderfully tame squirrel. Why not make yourself a cuppa and watch the outdoor show?

The fully fitted kitchen/diner has a built-in fan oven, gas hobs, an under-counter fridge, microwave, dining table for four and all the crockery and cookware you'll need for your stay. You might find yourself offering to do the washing up more often than usual as the view from the sink is particularly gorgeous.

Onwards to the sleeping accommodation. The master bedroom has a kingsize wooden bedstead, built-in wardrobes and a dressing table. The twin bedroom has a wardrobe and dressing table. The family bathroom has a bath with over-bath mixer shower, washbasin and heated towel rail. There is a separate WC and washbasin in the cloakroom.

The outside space at High Winder Cottages is absolutely delightful. There is a pleasant seating area with access to a barbecue, a perfect spot for bird spotting and planning your walks. The extensive grounds and gardens are shared with neighbouring cottages. There is also a shared paddock which is enclosed and an ideal spot to let your dogs run free!

A communal laundry room is available for guests use, with a washing machine and dryer. In all the properties there is There is a hairdryer at the cottages there is an ironing board and iron in the cottage.
