We had a lovely holiday - the cottage is in a great spot just by the estuary and a nice pub. Basic but everything we needed.

We stay in the area a lot and have rented other cottages in Ravenglass too. This is by far the best we have stayed in. Smaller. But attention to detail good. We had a few issues with pans...not big enough for a family of four...and the frying pans though new didn't conduct heat at all so tricky to cook in. But there was lots of other equipment for chefs to enjoy. Love the Inn at the front and Jackie didn't fail to give us a way welcome for a pint in the evenings. Plenty of space to store our bikes safely. Brilliant. But I wouldn't call it a courtyard. Not to fear though we took our drinks down onto the estuary as the view is superb. Kids would have liked a Smart TV. Netflix and Prime rule these days and with a wet cold week they made do with 4 inch phone screens but Mum and Dad just drank in the view so didn't miss the TV.
