A lovely clean cosy cottage with everything we could possibly need + an enclosed garden - great for enjoying a cup of tea or glass of wine. The village has a very good shop, a bakery, an Italian restaurant which does excellent take away pizzas + 4 dog friendly pubs - Gosforth Hall Inn was our favourite. Drigg beach is fabulous if you want to let your dog have a good run. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a particular favourite of ours - well worth visiting no matter what the weather. A good base for exploring West Cumbria.

Hi Penny, thank you for taking the time to write a review. It sounds like you had a lovely holiday. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? And the location is great for getting out exploring. I bet your dog loved the beach! I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
