If you are looking for a complete get away from it all experience then this is the place. Cottage is lovely secluded with a lovely enclosed garden. Bedrooms are cosy bathrooms good and kitchen superb. The best was the very comfortable lounge with log burner. Some lovely walks from cottage to crummock water and surrounding area. Very good pubs all within walking distance or 5 to 10 mins by car kirkstile inn the bridge at buttermere and the wheatsheaf at lorton which also has a village store or 15 mins by car your in cockermouth with a sainsburys. A great escape owners were lovely even leaving a welcome basket and delivering some fresh eggs on our first morning thanks for allowing us and our 3 dogs to use your lovely cottage.

Hello Stuart, Thank you for your lovely review. It's a super cosy cottage, isn't it? You couldn't have picked a better location to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while. You just can't beat a log burner to kick back and relax in front of especially after a day out exploring the Lakes. It's always handy to have a pub close by on holiday, be it for a drink or some delicious pub grub. The owners' are fabulous, how kind of them to provide a welcome basket and fresh eggs on your first morning - fantastic! I'm thrilled you had a great time and I hope you will come back and visit us very soon.

Had a fabulous short break at the end of November. House was lovely and well suited the needs of our party. Ample space for children inside and out. Fantastic location. Would definitely stay here again
