Nice cottage in lovely village and walking distance to Keswick. Great location for Northern lakes and walks. Cottage is a good size for 4 people. Great touch of leaving a folding bike in rear porch for people to use. Downsides are it needs updating i.e sofa is worn out and also toilet wouldn't flush properly. Overall a nice cottage, great location but requires some updating.

Hi Steven, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? The location is ideal for heading out exploring. Thanks for letting me know about the toilet, I'll make sure we get that sorted. I really appreciate your other feedback too, we'll look into everything you've highlighted. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Dark and not cosy unfortunately. Bathroom tiny and grotty. Saggy bed. Grubby carpets/rug in kitchen. Fridge opens wrong way. Oven door gets stuck on cupboard door and extractor means another cupboard won't open properly. Not enough room for 4 anyway, so i suggest turning the second bedroom into a bathroom, then opening up kitchen so there's enough space to move. Location bit odd tucked behind Derwent hotel, would have been ok but for the building works going on which made it worse.

Hi Bridget, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I'm sorry to hear you had an issue with parking. It can get busy in Portinscale but I've always managed to find a parking space without any trouble. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
