Toffee Cottage is a modern gem of a holiday home for four in the stunning Langdale Valley. With two lovely bedrooms, modern high spec fittings, gorgeous comfortable furnishings and simply glorious views this deceptively roomy, mid-terrace house makes fantastic use of light and space to make the most of its wonderful position.
On arrival at the house guests enter via a large glass porch area. There is plenty of room here for coats and muddy boots as well as an under-counter washer/dryer. It's the ideal bedroom for your pooch should you be bringing one along too. Beyond here is the thoughtfully-designed contemporary kitchen. Well equipped with a fitted fan oven, four ceramic hobs, a slimline dishwasher, coffee machine, an under-counter fridge with icebox and an eye-height microwave it's got everything you need for your stay.
Beyond here lies the elegant double height living/dining space. It’s a stylish and comfortable haven whether you’d like to curl up with a good book, watch TV, chat over dinner or just revel in the spectacular views. It has a comfy grey sofa with chaise at one end, plush velvet chair, a wall mounted TV with built in DVD player and a contemporary round dining table for four from which you can enjoy the panoramic view from the sliding glass door.
Guests also access the twin bedroom and bathroom from the living area. The twin bedroom is a gorgeous cosy space with delightful soft furnishings and a dresser for storage. The bathroom has a luxurious feel about it with a white suite, compact “b” shaped bath and over-bath mixer shower for soaking away tired fell-walking muscles.
The staircase from the living room leads up to the master bedroom in the attic space. It’s a wonderful room with large double bed and built-in wardrobes along with deep plush carpets giving the room an indulgent air. A large velux window, with black out blind for night times, drenches the room with light and gives views to the fell top ridge across the valley.
Moving outside the house via the sliding glass door, guests are greeted by the shared terrace garden with a simply stunning outlook. Its elevated position gives a wonderful view from the Great Langdale Beck in the valley floor to the mighty Landgale Pikes which stand guard nearby. There’s furniture for outdoor dining, a BBQ and further seating to make the most of all the day’s sunlight. It’s a truly magical place to enjoy an evening glass of wine.
