General Description

The Stables is entered via the kitchen door (from the pebbled parking area for three cars) into a spacious farmhouse kitchen and dining area. The newly fitted kitchen with oak worktops is well equipped with integrated recycling bins, a dishwasher, fan assisted oven and ceramic hob, built in microwave, integrated fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a ceiling drying rack. There is a large farmhouse kitchen table and sofa in the dining area. This leads through to the sitting room which features modern fixtures and fittings blended with antique furnishings.

The open character fireplace compliments the exposed stonework and beamed ceiling. The sitting room is sympathetically furnished with sofas and comfortable chairs with a feature piano. There is a digital radio/cd player, TV, DVD player and a blue tooth wireless speaker system with docking for an ipad, iphone and ipod and 2x 15 watt speakers. There is also a cot, high chair, stair gate, toy basket and a selection of board games, local maps and magazines which are all provided at the family friendly cottage.

A staircase leads upstairs to two double bedrooms which have high ceilings and delightful exposed beams. Towels are provided and the bedrooms are tastefully furnished. The family bathroom features a bath with shower over, washbasin and wc. Complimentary toiletries are provided. There is a heated towel rail and a velux window provides natural light.

Outside you will fine a relaxing enclosed garden with patio seating, bbq and chiminea. This pretty garden is perfect to enjoy the beautiful West Cumbrian sunsets perhaps with a glass of wine and dinner al fresco.
