The Old Post Office is a delightful romantic bolthole for two to three people in the charming village of Eskdale. The apartment forms part of a large house built in 1886 but is completely private with own garden, parking area and entrance. It's cosy and welcoming with homely touches and comfortable furnishings, making it an ideal base for exploring this tranquil area.
On arrival at the apartment guests enter via a large porch which has coat hooks and plenty of space for muddy boots and wellies. Opening out from here is the delightful open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. This welcoming space has a lovely view towards Corney Fell, exposed beams and an open fire for cosy evenings in. The living area has a two seater sofa with and armchair, a television with built-in DVD player and a dining table for four.
The kitchen is well-equipped with stand-alone double oven with electric hobs, microwave, fridge and all the crockery and cookware you'll need for your stay. There's bags of counter space for food prep too.
Beyond the living area is the lovely bedroom. Decorated with a subtle palette it's a relaxing space with a heavy wooden double bedstead along with a wardrobe and dresser for storage. There's a gorgeous decorative fireplace and a comfortable fold-up single bed if you have a third person in your party (please advise on booking if this is the case). From the bedroom there is a door through to the spacious bathroom with a white suite and an over-bath mixer shower.
Directly outside the cottage there is a driveway with parking for one car, across from which you will find the delightful enclosed garden which makes a gorgeous place for taking in the glorious views around the village.
