General Description

As you open the front door of The Old Stables, you are struck by the lovely 'feel' of the place.  Perhaps it's the warm Rayburn in the kitchen, or it could be the fabulous and unusual wallpaper in the bathroom, or maybe it's the lovely light sun room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Rayburn, microwave-combi oven, fridge-freezer and plenty of storage space.  There is a dining table too.  The kitchen is the hub of the house and leads through to the lounge in one direction, and the bedroom and bathroom in the other.

Once in the lounge you'll find comfortable seating, TV, DVD player and electric fire.  This room is light and airy, with patio doors leading through to the sun room with further seating and the patio beyond.

Stairs in the lounge lead to a mezzanine area with more seating - the perfect place to escape and switch off for a little while.

The bedroom is on the ground floor and is  large with two single beds.  It has beautiful antique furnishings.

The bathroom is my favourite room of all.  One wall is covered with wallpaper depicting postcards from the 50's.  The other wall has intriguing quotations - "The trouble with most people is that they won't admit their faults. I'd admit mine if I had any."
