As soon as you arrive at The Old Dairy, you'll feel instantly at home. As the name suggests, The Old Dairy is a stunning barn conversion for 2 people and 1 dog. Located on a quiet road in the rural hamlet of Leadgate near Alston, you'll be perfectly placed for exploring this quieter part of northern Cumbria, as well hopping over the border into beautiful Northumberland.
The open plan living-dining-kitchen area is a wonderful social space and has everything you could need to make your stay a comfortable one. The modern, country-style kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge, freezer, handy microwave, useful washer-dryer and a dushwasher - there'll be no fighting over the washing up here! There's a dining table and 2 chairs tucked in the corner by the window, so you can enjoy your dinner whilst enjoying a lovely view over the garden. With a 2-seater sofa and an armchair, there's plenty of room in the living area to relax. Curl up with a good book or have an evening in front of the telly, the TV has Freesat and a DVD player.
Down the hallway to the bedroom, a wonderfully relaxing room. In here you'll find the feature metal double bed as well as a useful wardrobe for storage. The modern shower room is a real treat: as well as the requisite WC and washbasin, there's a fantastic shower cubicle with waterfall shower. A heated towel rail means there'll be a cosy towel waiting for you.
Outside you'll find a wonderful garden. With a lawned area and space for sitting out (garden furniture is provided), it really is a delight. There's also a bike store available should you prefer to explore on 2 wheels. As the cottage and garden are surrounded by farmland and livestock, dogs will need to be kept on their lead at all times when outside of the garden.
