General Description

Stepping through the double patio doors, you will enter the grand dining room, with a large mahogany table dominating the room and wood burning stove at the far end. Access to the kitchen is straight from the dining room and is fully equipped with three ovens, a large dishwasher, baking equipment to cater for large groups, six ringed gas stove, six-slice toaster, and large American-style fridge with freezer section and ice maker.

The lounge has sofas and little nooks and crannies to set up a variety of board games, all of which are provided for your pleasure. Please note that there is no TV in this room, but there are TVs in all of the bedrooms. There is a wood burner and stereo. The large picture window looks out onto the rolling Yorkshire Dales landscape.

From the lounge you descend to the lower ground floor, which is also accessible from outside. On this floor are pens for storing bikes and other outdoor equipment.

This floor is also home to Ladbroke – a large suite separated into bedroom and living space by a partial dividing wall, with the lounge area transforming into a children’s bedroom with plenty of room for two young ones. Ladbroke has been brought to life with an opulent bed and furniture from Rajasthan and China. Once part of the farm’s dairy, the red, white and stone bathroom is characterised by an original slate boskin and Farrow and Ball Radicchio red bath with a large walk in shower. There are 2 TVs in Ladbroke.

Upstairs to the ground floor there are two further bedrooms situated down the hallway that leads off from the dining room.

Camellia is a light and sunny room with a door leading out to a small terrace with the garden beyond. Yellows and soft blues compliment its southerly aspect with splashes of bright yellow and gold in the large and indulgent bathroom – which has a large roll top bath and walk in shower. This bedroom has twin beds with Orthos Cashmere mattresses that will regulate your temperature while you sleep. There is a TV in the room. This room is named after Camellia sinensis, the species of evergreen shrub whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea.

Tregenna is a bold room with elegant William Morris prints and gold and red soft furnishings. Tregenna is a south-facing bedroom with views of the garden. There is TV and comfortable seating. The bathroom is peaceful but opulent with a deep burgundy bath, pale oak floor and soft blue shower.

On the top floor are three further bedrooms. The first is Millmount, characterised by oak beams and a French style mahogany king-size bed. South facing, it is a light and cosy room with blue, red and burgundy soft furnishings. The bathroom reflects those tones with its dark oak flooring, deep blue painted bath and light porcelain tiles. There is a walk in shower.

Kundaly has lovely views of Winder Fell. Decorated in soft greens, pale gold and gentle reds, this is a very restful space. With a luxurious double upholstered Corbeille bed and an antique chaise found in a Mumbai market, this is a cosy but indulgent room. Lie in the bath and look up at the night sky, or watch the sun rise over the hills from the bedroom.

At the far end of the top floor, the Earlston suite is spacious and light with views down to the River Lune in the west. Soft pinks, stone walls and oak beams blend with palest blue and orange to create a soothing and restful bedroom. The bed is a super-king and there is a TV in this room. The bathroom is characterised by its large white Excelsior bath under the eaves of the roof, and also has a walk in shower. This room is named after the tea estate bungalow in Kerala where the owner spent the first 14 years of his life.

Outside is a garden with the most amazing views all around. It has patio area and outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking.
