Perfect location, so many walks from the door, long or short. Or only a short drive to many more walks and places to explore. Patterdale and Glenridding are both fairly quiet so it was really easy to maintain social distancing for the holiday. We didn't go to any restaurants or cafes, as the cottage was a lovely place to be.
Lovely and clean, friendly owners. The cottage was without a peeler, but they provided a brand new one when we let them know. Brought slippers but didn't need them as floor was very warm, in fact the whole cottage was extremely warm, our wet kit dried out easily overnight. Plenty of hot water and a great shower. Hope to go back again soon!

Beautiful accommodation. Very clean. Very warm. There is a wood burning stove but we did not need to use it due to the central heating being amazing. Lovely welcome "pack" provided to ensure we had drinks and nibbles on arrival, in addition to cleaning supplies in case we had forgotten our own. Gorgeous smelling locally made toiletries.

Pressure in the showers was good (sometimes an issue in remote or non mains supplied areas) and I'm fussy about my showers!

Although attached to the B&B/main house, the accommodation felt private appart from the occasional peacock peeking in the window - but they were welcome! The accommodation levels are reversed with the bedrooms on the ground floor and open plan kitchen/dining/living space on the first floor. This was a great design decision and allows views over fields and hills from the living area.

We went on some excellent hill (Wainwright) and lower level lakeside and woodland walks straight from the front door.

There were only two of us, value for money would have been better for 4 people, however we had a wonderful time in affordable luxury.

Thanks Deepdale Hall Farm for a wonderful week's break.
