Absolutely fantastic place in a perfect location. So comfortable and clean, I can’t say a single thing I would change about it, it was perfect. We will definitely be back here and I can’t recommend enough. Made our weekend away the best we have had.

Loved our stay at The Bolthole. Bigger than it looks in the photos and there is even a pool table room on the top floor.
Location was very handy with supermarkets, pubs and restaurants nearby. The only concern I would have is that the doors are heavy and shut themselves so maybe not suitable for really young children but otherwise we couldn't fault it.

Hi Becky, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? And the location couldn't be better!
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

This was our second booking with Sally’s cottages and we hoped for as good as the last!

The Bolthole was nicely furnished and kitchen very well equipped. The windows were dirty, particularly the large one in the living room. We had to keep the living room door closed as we had a baby with us and the stairs were a problem, no stair gate provided. As it was fairly warm when we stayed we found it very uncomfortable and stuffy as there were no opening windows in the living space.
The double bedroom on the 1st floor was particularly small and the bathroom also quite a squash!

The bath had no shower curtain which was a slip hazard in the 2nd floor en-suite.

Hi Tracy, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I really appreciate your feedback and can confirm that I've bought a stair gate for the top of the stairs. I've also changed the description on the website to say it's a bath upstairs - the shower is too low really to use properly as a shower. There is a (small) shower downstairs that people can use if they need to. I am currently looking into getting the windows cleaned and I've bought a couple of fans for when it's hot.
I hope you can look forward to another break in the Lakes soon, if you'd like any help choosing a place to stay just get in touch and I'll be happy to offer some suggestions.
