General Description

From the designated parking space, walk back down the street past a shop called 'George Fishers'. Take a left onto Lake Road and, within a few steps, you will see a sign for 'Little Hills'. Turn in here and you will see the external stairway leading up to the fourth floor. As you walk up the steps, Catbells, Causey Pike and Walla Crag come into view. In winter you may also catch a tantalising glimpse of Derwentwater through the leafless trees! It is a fantastic vantage point.

As you reach the fourth floor, head to the second apartment along where you will find a wooden bistro table and two chairs - the perfect place for al fresco dining surrounded by the views.

Enter into the open-plan living room, dining and and kitchen area, a bright and welcoming space. The living room has a comfortable two-seater sofa, large flat-screen Freeview TV, DVD player and Wifi. There are books, DVD's, cards and OS maps of the area available to use - perfect for relaxing and planning the next day's excursions! Next to the living room window is a drop-leaf dining table with two chairs, so you can enjoy the view whilst having your meals.

The compact kitchen is nonetheless fully equipped with electric hob, oven, microwave/grill, toaster, kettle, round sink, a fridge with small freezer compartment (including ice tray) and a washer-dryer. A hob cover gives you that bit of extra surface for food prep.

There is one bedroom with a king size bed, a bedside table on either side (with lamps) and a coat rail. The large, built-in wardrobe offers plenty of room for hanging clothes and contains an ironing board, iron and hair-dryer.

The bathroom has a toilet, sink and full-size bath, with electric shower over the bath (the shower has been replaced in 2021). The pressure of the shower is good on a standard temperature. If you like your showers very hot though, you may find that the pressure is a little lower than you would like.

Outside the door is a balcony-style area with a folding bistro set available for use in the spring and summer.

Shared bike rails are available. These are shared with the rest of the building and are on a first-come-first-served basis. Please bring your own bike lock.
