General Description

Dating from the late eighteenth century, The Beech Tree provides spacious accommodation for 16/20 people (please note, there is an additional charge of £200 to book for more than 16) making it an home from home for families and groups of friends looking to holiday in The Lakes together.

There are two living rooms to choose from here. The first living room feels very inviting and wonderfully cosy thanks to its wood burning stove, perfect for relaxing evenings in in front of the fire, and there's a TV for entertainment. The second sitting room has a gas fire. A bright and airy room, it's a lovely room to escape to with a good book. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, handy microwave, fridge, coffee maker, washing machine and dishwasher so there's no need to fight over who has to do the washing up. Please note that the kitchen is small for groups of 20. The separate dining room has tables and chairs for up to 20 meaning there's plenty of space for sociable dining.

A games room with traditional slate floor contains a snooker table, perfect for when rain stops play outside. Also on the ground floor is the first of the bedrooms, a delightful twin.

At the far end of the house is a quirky spiral staircase that takes you up to a lovely king size bedroom and useful shower room.

Head up the main staircase and you'll find 8 bedrooms. They've been labelled A-H to help you decide who gets which room:
Room A is a lovely double with a handy sink
Rooms B and C are is also spacious double, this time with their own en suite shower rooms (each containing a shower only)
Room D is a twin room with a handy sink
Rooms E and F are both double rooms, benefitting from a shower and a sink in the room
Room G is another twin room with an en suite shower
Room H is the final double room with an en suite shower

Also on this part of the first floor is a handy shower room (containing a shower only), separate WC and a family bathroom which has a WC, washbasin and bath, ideal if you prefer an indulgent soak in the tub.

As well as there being plenty of parking in front of the cottage, there is a fantastic large garden to the rear. With lawn and sitting out areas with garden furniture, it's sure to be a hit with children and adults alike.
